A series of short stories that explores the reasoning and philosophy of a young Jack Brodie, the catalyst of his life and the break in friendship with his best friend Harry Wade . The story explores how the tattoo of death that Jack unknowingly places on his back will end up controlling his entire life.

It also explores the biggest job of Jack Brodie's young life. Jack has been summoned by the mighty Tilson family, the largest crime syndicate in Britain. Bernie Tilson wants Jack to do a Job that involves major risk and Jack's first encounter with the son of Bernie, Dell Tilson.
